DSC Lion Policy

Young Professionals Group (YPG) is comprised of Men and Women between the ages of 21-39 years of age.

The group’s intent is to ensure the growth of the Dallas Safari Club and its mission in a younger age demographic.

YPG offers a means to meet socially with others in a like age group who have similar interests in wildlife and conservation. YPG members are afforded opportunities to work on fund raising committees, membership committees and to attend DSC board meetings which offer insight to the strategic planning of the DSC organization.

In 2007, the DSC Young Professionals Group raised enough funds to subsidize Life Insurance policies for Texas Game Wardens and made sustainable contributions towards our Youth Education program managed by the Dallas Ecological Foundation. In 2008, activities included a poker tournament and a crawfish boil. All events were well attended by members of the DSC futurity.

An added benefit of participation in the YPG program, is the development of leadership skills necessary to motivate and inspire others.

The Young Professionals Group submits a new article each month to the DSC newsletter, CampTalk.  Each month the article is authored by a different YPG member. Anyone with a story can submit an article.
