Dallas Safari Club Celebrates Successful 2026 Convention & Sporting Expo in Atlanta

Dallas, Texas — February 2026 — The 2026 DSC Convention & Sporting Expo, held February 6–8 at the Georgia World Congress Center, concluded as a resounding success for attendees, exhibitors, and global conservation initiatives.

Visitors and partners representing 43 countries and all 50 U.S. states gathered for three days of connection, commerce, and conservation. The Convention once again relied on the dedication of the DSC 100 volunteer team, whose commitment and enthusiasm remain the foundation of the event’s continued growth.

From the moment the exhibit hall opened Friday morning, attendees utilized DSC’s Express Badge Pick-Up to quickly enter the show floor, where nearly 700 Exhibitor Partners presented premier North American and international hunting and fishing adventures, firearms, outdoor equipment, fine art, jewelry, taxidermy, furnishings, and more.

Evenings continued the momentum with lively banquets and competitive live auctions. The festivities began Thursday with the Conservation Kickoff Banquet & Auction, where keynote speaker Shane Mahoney delivered a powerful message emphasizing conservation stewardship and the importance of our hunting heritage.

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources played a prominent role throughout the Convention. Commissioner Walter Rabon stated:

“The successful return of the Dallas Safari Club Convention and Sporting Expo to Atlanta was a proud moment for Georgia and a great reminder of how much conservation partnerships can accomplish. It was an even greater honor to receive the Dallas Safari Club Conservation Trailblazer Award. I am very grateful to the Dallas Safari Club Foundation for this recognition and proud to accept it on behalf of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.”

Following the strong partnership between the venue and event, Kevin Duvall, CEO of the Georgia World Congress Center Authority, added:

“Welcoming Dallas Safari Club back to GWCC for a second year was a tremendous success and a true testament to the strength of our partnership. Their continued confidence in our campus highlights our ability to provide the space, flexibility, and resources needed to support the event’s ongoing growth. Atlanta’s signature Southern hospitality helped create an exceptional experience for exhibitors and attendees alike. We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished together and look forward to building on this momentum and celebrating continued success in the years ahead.”

Friday and Saturday evening banquets continued the celebration, while the Ladies’ Luncheon and Life Member Appreciation Breakfast brought together supporters of DSC’s mission of Conservation, Education, and Advocacy.

Throughout the weekend, attendees heard from influential voices across the outdoor and conservation communities, including Robbie Kroger, Ivan Carter, Kate MacGregor, Kelly Armstrong, and newly installed DSC CEO Russell Stacy.

Stacy remarked, “What an incredible week! DSC is about family, friendships, and our rich hunting heritage, and that spirit was on full display throughout this year’s Convention. Building off this momentum, we look forward to returning to Atlanta next January and bringing the Convention back to Texas beginning in 2028.”

With the Convention concluded, DSC now turns its attention to the 2nd Annual DSC Summer Expo & Foundation Gala, scheduled for July 23–25 at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine, just minutes from DFW Airport! Registration and hotel bookings for the 2026 DSC Summer Expo are now open.

The annual DSC Convention & Sporting Expo will return to Atlanta January 7–10, 2027. Registration and hotel bookings for the 2027 DSC Convention are also now open!

On behalf of everyone at DSC, the organization extends sincere appreciation to its Exhibitor Partners, Sponsors, Conservation Partners, Attendees, Members, and DSC 100 Volunteers for making the 2026 Convention one of the most successful in its history. DSC looks forward to welcoming supporters this summer in Dallas and again in Atlanta in January 2027.
