DSC Executive Director Ben Carter will join The Outdoor Zone host T.J. Greaney to discuss the last weekend’s ivory burning in Kenya. The recent burning of confiscated ivory and rhino horn was the largest in history and was burned in an effort by the Kenyan government to call for the end of illegal wildlife trade.
The award-winning journalist and Carter will examine the controversial burning and educate listeners on truly effective methods to combat poaching of African big game. Carter is a dedicated conservationist and hunter with extensive knowledge and experience in successful efforts to thwart illegal game poaching.
The Outdoor Zone is hosted on 104.9 FM, The Horn in Austin, Texas each Saturday from 6-8 a.m. Carter will join Greaney at 7:00 a.m. Hunters and outdoor enthusiasts are invited to listen in and learn more about the positive effects of conservation.
