DSC 2017 Convention Auction Item of the Week – Six-Day Beceite Ibex Hunt for Two in Spain

Over the course of four days, visitors of the DSC 2017 Convention will have the opportunity to contribute to DSC conservation efforts of ensuring the future of hunting and protecting a proud heritage. Through a series of silent and live auctions, convention attendees can bid on a wide variety of multi-day hunts, artwork, firearms, luxury fishing excursions, jewelry and more. This week’s highlighted auction item is a six-day Beceite ibex hunt for two hunters in Spain, valued at $17,700.

The 6-day Beceite ibex hunt has been donated by Spain Hunting Ibex – Spain’s premier mountain hunting outfitter. The hunt includes daily rates for two hunters on a six-day, 1×1 hunt and the trophy fees for one Beceite ibex scoring up to 69 inches and one Beceite ibex scoring up to 49 inches (to be shared by hunters). Method of take is rifle or bow. This hunt is available November through May, 2017 or 2018 and may be upgraded to larger Beceite ibex or by adding Spanish ibex (Gredos, Southeastern, and Ronda), Pyrenean and Cantabrian chamois, mouflon, Barbary sheep/aoudad, Balearean goat/boc among others, all at current price list.

Additional hunters are welcome at $600/day; non-hunters are welcome at $300/day. Transportation during the hunt is mostly by 4×4 vehicle with hunting done by stalking on foot. This hunt includes airport assistance at Barcelona or Valencia, transport to and from concession, field prep, all lodging, meals and drinks, and transportation with personal guide during the length of the hunt. Not included are hunting licenses at $300 for each ibex, CITES permit at $140, dip and pack service, transportation to shipper, accommodation before and after the hunt at approximately $250/day and 21 percent VAT on final invoice and donation value.

The DSC Convention and Expo will be at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center and Omni Hotel in Dallas Jan. 5-8, 2017. Sportsmen and women are invited to be a part of another record-breaking event to help support conservation, education and hunter advocacy initiatives around the world. The theme this year is Adventure.

The expo offers 2017’s first opportunity to shop for hunts with top outfitters from around the globe. Displays also include world-class sporting gear, firearms, art, collectibles, entertainment, seminars, auctions and more. Together, attractions cover the space of nearly nine football fields.

Daily admission to the convention is $20 per person, with multi-day and discounted family packages available. Children under 12 and active military (with ID) are free of charge.
