The January 7-10 2016 DSC Convention and Sporting Expo, “Conservation”, is well on its way, and with that come our auctions! DSC hosts numerous live and silent auctions throughout the convention, showcasing an array of world class auction items. From Safaris to sculptures, DSC auctions products and adventures that will appeal to all tastes. Proceeds from these auctions will be used to help DSC fund grants that support our mission of conservation, education, and protecting hunters’ rights. Check out just one item that will be up for bidding during the show!
“Rain Cloud” – Alligator Juniper Table by Andy Sanchez
This beautiful table was handmade by Andy Sanchez and his sons who have been building elegant-rustic tables for over 25 years. Andy has won several awards around the country and has also shipped several tables overseas to adorn the Mavro’s Silver Gallery in London. King Juan Carlos of Spain and the Queen of England have both sat at one of his tables and had tea! Andy uses jewelry, quality stones, fossils and marble to inlay into his furniture. This table entitled “Rain Cloud” has turquoise, marble, slate and dark green soapstone. The slate and soapstone form the rain-clouds and the travertine marble depicts the storm. A white marble arrowhead shape, together with the turquoise, gives this table a Southwest native flavor.
