DSC Conservation Society- New Name, New Events

The DSC Conservation Society has made great efforts in 2015 to create a place for a younger generation of hunters to gather, and it’s showing. CS has not only changed their name in the last year (formerly DSC’s Young Professionals Group, or YPG): they have changed their image as a whole. In the last year, their membership has doubled, and is looking to continue that trend. Their presence in the club itself is being seen, with more young professionals attending DSC Monthly Meetings and volunteering at SAFETY Events. And, most importantly, they have taken great leaps at creating a wider variety of events that give the next generation a great way to connect with their fellow young professionals around Dallas, and have fun while doing it. More social events, affordable hunting and fishing trips, and mixers with other organizations such as the Ladies Luncheon Committee, ACG Young Professionals, and Young Professionals in Energy (YPE), are just a few of the gatherings that CS now has to offer.

DSC Conservation Society’s quarterly happy hours have filled a void that was much needed for our younger members. These events are a great place for networking as well as fellowship with other hunters in the same age bracket. Tonight’s Happy Hour is a great example of that. Dr. Anita Carleo and Dr. Olivia Carleo of Vision Veritas, DSC Corporate Members and CS members, are hosting this fall’s event at their studio. People can enjoy light bites and libations, as well as a special trunk show highlighting riflescopes and binoculars by Minox and 10-20%* off products by Oakley and Wiley-x. And, most importantly, tonight is sure to bring a large crowd of our younger members together, giving them a comfortable environment to connect with like-minded individuals ready to promote DSC’s mission of conservation, education, and protecting hunters’ rights.

If you are a young professional (23-45) interested in becoming a DSC Member, and would like to meet fellow hunter-conservationists your age, look no further. DSC Conservation Society’s happy hour is the place to be.

The fall DSC Conservation Society quarterly happy hour and trunk show is tonight at Vision Veritas (directions here) from 6-8PM.
