RIP Professional Hunter Ian Gibson

Sad news from Dave Fulson

It is with a broken heart that I pass on that I have lost my dear friend Professional Hunter Ian Gibson this morning. Ian was killed by a bull elephant in our Chewore North concession. The bull charged him flat out and he was unable to stop it. Some have said he died doing what he loved, a fact I know and accept, but there is no relief knowing that. Gibbo was a one of a kind PH, man, friend, teacher and so much more. Never again will I walk through the bush with him, or hear that ” Helllllo Daaaaavid!” that was his trademark greeting. He was much to young, and had to much golf ahead. It simply breaks me this morning to know he is gone from us. I am not sure this game we play is worth the cost of the friends we are loosing to it. Simply heartbroken today. We have lost a man the likes of who we will see no more of. You will be remembered by so many Gibbo, and Africa will never be the same without you…See you on the other side
