DSC Announces Bull Elephant Award Winner Rep. Richard Hudson
DSC is honored to announce Rep. Richard Hudson (R-N.C.) as the recipient of DSC’s Bull Elephant Award in 2022. As a lifelong hunter and sportsman, Rep. Richard Hudson is a strong and vocal defender of our hunting heritage and the Second Amendment in the House and across the U.S. Capitol.
Avery Knowlton Named Recipient of 2022 Colin Caruthers Young Hunter Award
(Dec. 21, 2021 – DALLAS) — DSC is happy to announce Avery Knowlton of Dallas, Texas as the recipient of the Colin Caruthers Young Hunter Award (CCYH). To receive this award, the young hunter must have met a very strict set of criteria for hunting and academic achievement, as well as community service and leadership.
2022 Outfitter of the Year: Zambeze Delta Safaris

2022 Capstick Award Winner: Mateus Mutemba
The DSC Peter Hathaway Capstick Hunting Heritage Award Committee has selected Mateus Mutemba of Mozambique as the 2022 award recipient. Mutemba will be presented with the prestigious award at the 40th Annual DSC Convention and Expo during the Saturday evening banquet.
2022 Conservation Trailblazer Award: Casey Stemler
DSC has selected Casey Stemler as the winner of the 2022 Conservation Trailblazer Award. This award celebrates the immense contribution of wildlife professionals to the field of game and non-game wildlife conservation, including wildlife and habitat management, applied research and policy.
DSC 2022 Artist of the Year: Jocelyn Russell
Wildlife artist Jocelyn Russell has been named the 2022 Artist of the Year for the 40th Anniversary DSC Convention to be held January 6-9, 2022. Her award will be presented during the Friday evening banquet in the Dallas Ballroom of the Omni Dallas Hotel.
